As a positive reinforcement dog trainer, my goal is to help dogs and their owners build a strong, trusting relationship through effective and rewarding training methods. With years of hands-on experience working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments, I understand that every dog is unique and tailor my approach to meet each dog’s individual needs.
I have been teaching puppy and adult dog group classes for several years and have experience working with dogs one on one that struggle with anxiety. Whether you're raising a new puppy, working through behavioral challenges, or looking to strengthen obedience skills, I am committed to helping you achieve your training goals with your dog. Outside of training, I share my life with five dogs and volunteer with dog rescue. Individuals often contact me when a dumped dog has been avoiding human contact for several weeks. I am able to establish trust with the dog, safely contain it, and ensure its well-being. I also volunteer at the animal shelter, where I take dogs out for the day. These experiences tie directly into my dog training work and reflect my lifelong passion for dogs. Building trust with fearful or abandoned dogs requires patience, understanding, and strong training skills, and I find it incredibly rewarding to help them feel safe, confident, and supported. It is very important to me to help keep dogs in their homes with the families who love them. Through positive, effective training, I work with owners to address behavioral challenges and strengthen the bond between them and their dogs. My goal is to provide the guidance and support needed to create a happier, more successful relationship so dogs can remain where they belong—at home with their families.
Professional Training for Your Pups
At Pet Grand Hotel, we believe training is one of the most important investments you can make in your dog’s happiness, confidence, and overall well-being. Our training programs are designed to create a positive learning environment where dogs can build strong foundational skills while strengthening their bond with their owners.
We offer puppy, beginner, intermediate, and advanced group classes, as well as private one-on-one sessions tailored to your dog’s individual needs. Whether your goal is improving basic obedience, building confidence, or reinforcing good behaviors, our structured programs provide guidance, consistency, and support every step of the way. With small group settings, experienced instruction, and personalized attention, we help dogs learn in a safe, engaging, and encouraging environment — one class at a time.
Our training programs are led by experienced trainer Shaina Koblin, who has spent years working hands-on with dogs through structured group classes and personalized training sessions. We focus on creating a supportive, engaging environment where dogs can build confidence, learn foundational skills, and develop positive behaviors through consistency and positive reinforcement.
Training at Pet Grand Hotel is led by Shaina Kobling, an experienced dog trainer with four years of professional training experience. She has successfully led group classes multiple days per week for the past two years, working with dogs of all ages to build confidence, improve obedience, and strengthen the bond between pets and their owners.
Please bring a non-retractable leash, 2–3 varieties of high-value treats, and a notebook for tracking homework and training progress. Dogs should arrive ready to learn in a calm, controlled environment. Owners must be present during each session.
Our group training programs run in 6-week sessions that meet on the same day and time each week, with full payment required before classes begin. We offer puppy classes for dogs under one year old, beginner classes for dogs over one year old, and intermediate and advanced classes for dogs that have successfully completed prior levels.
Clients may make up one missed class per session, and private one-on-one lessons are also available. To ensure classes run smoothly, all dogs and owners must arrive at least 10 minutes before class starts, as late arrivals may not be permitted once class is in session.
Our training programs are designed for dogs working on foundational obedience, confidence-building, and positive behaviors. For the safety and comfort of all dogs and owners, we do not accept dogs that exhibit aggressive behaviors, including resource guarding or dog and human aggression.
